Postpartum! How do I loose that baby Fat!

I’m a very young mom; I had my first baby at 18 and went from 133 lbs to 155 lbs a lot of weight. Once I had my daughter I stayed at 145 lbs. See I’m 5'2 so that's overweight for my height. I wanted to loose weight so bad, and get in shape but I didn't know how to start, so what I began to do is online research, and I began to do a diet plan. Here is what you must do if you want to loose that baby fat, and regain your self-esteem.
1) Stop eating fast-food and junk!!
If you really want to see results you have to stop eating fast-food and junk! These foods are the foods that are mostly if not fully responsible for your gained weight.
2) Drink lots water
Begin drinking 8 glasses of water daily, not only will this maintain you hydrated, but it will also help you stay away from those sugary drinks. Many times when we are thirsty our brain can confuse thirst with hunger when in reality you are just dehydrated. That really shocked me.
3) Make healthier choices
Eat healthier, this is how your plate should look, your protein should be the size of a deck card. Don't skip your protein, very important to maintain you full longer. Also protein is key for muscle growth and toning. Now if you’re a vegan substitute with tofu or soy products, I've seen so many protein substitutes in the market like soy ground chicken and soy ground beef. There are many substitutes out there. Now if you’re a vegetarian eat eggs for protein. For grains it should be about the size of a cassette. Don't skip your grains; carbohydrates are very important for your muscles, and to be able to keep a healthy lifestyle. Of course, you have to eat good carbs known as complex, such as whole grains. Bad carbs known as simple are loaded with sugar and contain very little fiber. You should eat complex carbs like legumes and whole grains. Half of your plate should be fruits and veggies. This are low in calories and you can eat more of this and loose weight.

4) Enjoy your food
 It's been researched and proven that it takes up to 15 minutes for your body to feel full. So eat slower and enjoy the food you’re eating. One thing I would do is I would drink water before eating, this way I ate less.

5) Eat small meals 
Eating more often through out the day will not only prevent you to fall into those temptations, but will also speed up your metabolism. This also sends a signal to your brain that it dose not need to store calories. If we skip meals what we do is our body feels it needs to store those calories for energy.

6) Workout routine
To loose weight it's very important to have a planned a workout routine, and sticking to it. You have to be constant and patient to see result. Make sure your working-out according to your fitness level. Don't expect to be a pro and run a marathon in one week. Practice makes perfect, so start gradually. A workout equipment I loved using and helped me loose weight was the fitness ball

The Virtuous Woman


When I got married at age 18, everything was so different for me. I didn't know how I was supposed to be a good wife. My life gave a big turn; all I remember was trying to be a good wife for the first 2 years of my marriage. I didn't know where to begin. I struggled for a while asking myself, “how can I be a good wife?'. One day I was reading one of my favorite books from the bible the book of Proverbs. I was reading chapter 30 just about to finish when I started reading chapter 31. The Lord truly spoke to me that day. The answer to a question I was looking for was finally before my eyes!! God is so good, he truly speaks to us through he's word. This is what Proverbs chapter 31:10-31 says:


 10 Who[b] can find a virtuous[c] wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.  13 She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships; she brings her food from afar. 15 She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household and a portion for her maidservants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard.   17 She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, and her hand holds the spindle. 20 She extends her hand to the poor, yes; she reaches out her hands to the needy.  21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household is clothed with scarlet.  22 She makes tapestry for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple.  23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them and supplies sashes for the merchants.  25 Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come.  26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.  27 She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.  28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many daughters have done well,   but you excel them all.” 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

For all the christian moms and even for the moms that are not christian, in order to be a good wife, mom, daughter, friend and ect.. One has to primarily fear the Lord. If you become fearful of the Lord you will be a virtuous woman. The word of God is so perfect and sweeter than honey. In verse 30 it says that if you fear the Lord you will be praised. What exactly does this means, you may be asking yourself. Well, when you learn to fear the Lord you will do everything with love, care, and passion. You will not have to brag about how good you cook, or how well you maintain your home spotless, because your own work and effort will speak for itself, and your own family will say what a great woman. 

If you haven’t accepted The Lord Jesus Christ in your heart, and confessed your sins to him, than there is no way you can fear him.

If you want to accept Jesus Christ in your heart, say this prayer.
Heavenly Father, I come before you asking you for forgiveness of all my sins, I asked you to please cleanse me with the blood of Jesus Christ. I ask you to please come into my heart and reign in my life. I ask you please accept me as your child and that you write my name in the book of life (say your name). Mark me with the promise of the Holy Spirit. Change my mind, my heart, and my soul. In the name of Jesus Christ AMEN!

If you have done this prayer, CONGRATULATIONS!! You are now a son/daughter of God read the bible and live a Godly life. I advice you to find a Christian church that believes in the divine trinity.

debt free!!!

The first years of my marriage my husband and I lived with so much debt. It was so hard on us because we were newlyweds and we wanted to go out all the time. We didn't know how to get rid of our debt; we were so young we didn't know what to do or who to seek. So I just started doing online research, and found a lot of good information and tricks to relief our debt. So these are a few of the steps I took,

1. The first thing my  husband and I did was we started to give our ties and offrend since we believe God is our number one provider, and we knew we had to be loyal to our God (ties is a 10 % of all your profit).
2. This one was very hard; we limited our fast-food purchases, and ate more at home
3. Next thing we did was, we only bought what we really needed, so that meant me holding back on buying a lot of shoes very hard!! Poor me, but I hanged in there
4. Another thing we started doing was FREELOADING!!! Yes, we had other people pay for us.
Well we didn't really feel bad, because we used to pay for all our friends when we use to go out. We just saw it like if they want to hang out with us there going to have to pay, and they knew we were up to our necks with debt. If you have good friends and they have money hey! Why not?
5. Another thing we learned was to pay a bit more than our minimum payment from our credit cards. If you want to see that bill decrease each month you have to pay more than the minimum payment. The reason for that is that usually the minimum payment is mostly interest charges and only a small percentage goes to your balance. We made sure we were paying more than the minimum balance, and by a year we had finished paying many credit cards.
6. Another thing we did was we stopped using credit cards for a while. Use cash as much as you can, don't use that excuse "oh I'll pay it next month" BIG MISTAKE! Next month you will have interest added.
7. When we would go to the stores, one thing that helped us save a lot of money was, I started buying store brand products, I saved a ton of money by doing this.
8. A good way to save money is also couponing and bargaining. Don't be shy to this; it will save you a lot of money.

The daily routine!!

The daily routine of a stay at home mom can really get to you sometimes. I mean I thank the Lord for my two adorable children, but my goodness my daily routine was really killing me.Staying at home is such a blessing, but as a young mom one can sometimes really feel trapped home. So for a while all I would do was wake up late, cook breakfast, shower the kids, and just slack around the house. I really didn't do much home that kept me entertained. Until one day I  told myself I had to get my life in order, I couldn't continue with my boring daily routine. So the next day I did things different,
1. first I woke up early, got myself ready for the day
2. second showered the kids
3.fed the kids
4.packed up a picnic bag and took a walk to my neighborhood park
5.played with the kids in the park fed them
6.once I noticed they were tired we would head home
7. by the time we got home both were sleeping
8.this left me time to clean up and to prepare dinner
9. I would squeezed in some time to catch up with my bible reading.
10.soon after my kids would wake up and I would feed them
11. next would play with them in the living room
12. my husband would get home and he would than help me.
This is just an example of what I tried doing to mix up my old boring daily routine. Many times as stay at home moms it's very difficult , especially when you don't have energy and motivation when all you do is care for a home.As a homemaker it is hard at times to even want to spend time with your children, when all you want to do is rest. The way I would break from that would be by just pushing myself to be a great mom.Your kids want full attention mostly   all day, but is very important to make sure u leave some chores aside and take time with your kids.Stay at home mom does not necessarily mean you have to stay home. Take your kids to the park, go to church extracurricular activities, look for community events, even go to a farmers market. Many great things to mix up your day and break off that daily routine!!
